YOUNG Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop has been on Oldham Athletic's radar.
But it appears Latics have missed out on a loan move for the 21-year-old to League Two rivals Mansfield Town.
Latics have been among a number of clubs tracking Bishop, including Keith Curle's old club Carlisle United, Exeter City and Tranmere Rovers.
However, it is understood Bishop will complete his move to Mansfield next week.
Latics head coach Curle has been scouring the market for a number of positions, with goalkeeper being a key one.
Ian Lawlor joined the club on loan from Doncaster Rovers last season but had his campaign cut short by a training ground injury in March, after which Laurie Walker arrived on an emergency deal from MK Dons.
Walker has since signed a new deal at Stadium MK.
