MIDDLESBROUGH boss Neil Warnock has not ruled out pursuing his interest in Latics star Dylan Bahamboula.
The midfielder has been on trial with the Championship club for a week following an agreement between the two clubs.
Bahamboula impressed when he played the first 45 minutes of Boro's friendly with Bishop Auckland last night.
The Congo international was on the end of a robust tackle midway through the first half that left Warnock fuming on the touchline. But Bahamboula recovered to have an impact in the remainder of the half, finding space on the ball and looking to take on defenders and make things happen.
The 26-year-old, who has a year left on his Latics contract, has been on trial with Middlesbrough for a week, with the possibility of making the move permanent. A figure of £150,000 has been suggested, with a further £150,000 added on should Boro win promotion to the Premier League.
“He’s done alright Dylan," said Warnock after the game.
"I said to Curle I’ll have a look at him and give him my opinion. I’ll be speaking to him in the next couple of days."
Asked whether he could be having a conversation with Bahamboula or if he would play another game, Warnock added: “You’ll just have to wait and see won’t you?"
