Paul Scholes has backed boyhood club Oldham Athletic to take the points and bragging rights on derby day.
Latics go head to head with rivals Rochdale on Saturday (kick-off 12.30pm), in the first meeting between the two teams this season.
The early kick-off means Oldham fan Scholes is able to go to Spotland before setting off for Salford City, the club he co-owns with former Manchester United team-mates Gary and Phil Neville and Ryan Giggs, for their home game with Bromley in League Two, which kicks off at 3pm.
He discussed the derby on award-winning podcast The Overlap with Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Jill Scott and Ian Wright, who during the conversation recalled scoring his first professional goal against Oldham for Crystal Palace.
"My first ever goal was against Oldham in '85. Andy Gorham was in goal," said Wright, before attentions turned to score predictions.
"Oldham are doing all right aren't they?" asked Neville.
"Oldham are doing very well," said Scholes, "but Rochdale are a good team. I'm going 3-1 Oldham."
Anticipating the derby atmosphere, Keane said: "Will there be trouble?"
Scholes, who had a brief spell as Latics boss in 2019, replied: "It'll be chaos. It'll be lively.
"Oldham will fill their end."
