Latics defender Mo Doro made his debut for Radcliffe on Saturday, after joining Northern Premier League side Radcliffe on loan.
The 19-year-old came off the bench in the 80th minute of their 2-1 home defeat to Warrington, in which the Boro played with 10 men from the 44th minute after captain Jordan Hulme's red card for a late challenge.
Doro signed his first professional contract at Boundary Park in the summer, at the end of his two-year scholarship, and has joined Radcliffe on loan until New Year's Day.
The full back made his debut in the new National League Cup almost a fortnight ago as a half-time substitute for Charlie Raglan, with Oldham leading Stoke City Under 21s 1-0 at the time.
Within minute of his introduction he hit the crossbar with a cross-shot, with Oli Hammond turning the rebound over the bar.
Latics went on to win their Group B game 2-1.
Former Swansea and Forest Green winger Jordan Garrick signed non-contract terms with Latics for that game, so that manager Micky Mellon and his staff could run the rule over the winger in a match situation after training with the club on a trial period.
"We're just looking at people in games and those games give us an opportunity to do that," said Mellon.
"Garrick has been with us for a while, we'll see how things go."
