Attentions turn to the FA Cup for Oldham Athletic this weekend, but manager Micky Mellon insists the focus remains the same.
"We'll be going all out to try to get a result," said the Latics boss, who after witnessing the end of one unbeaten run with a first home defeat of the season has immediately set about launching another.
"Our intensity without the ball has to be better," said Mellon, identifying the areas he feel require improvement after a 3-2 defeat to Solihull Moors at Boundary Park ended a five-game winning run.
"We're creating these acceptables and non-acceptables at the minute because we want to try to gain that consistency, the way we want to play and we just felt that on Saturday we let ourselves down off the ball a little bit. But the players have been great. We've all looked at that and we're all responsible for that.
"We created enough chances to win two games probably.
"But now we get the opportunity on Saturday to get out there and get back to an all-round performance of ourselves.
"There were certainly bits of the performance that were good, we just need to get better and more consistent with a quality in our all-round game that gets us results.
"We're looking forward to being able to do that on Saturday and attack them.
"We want to give the fans good days and the opportunity that the FA Cup presents gives you a chance to do that for them."
And Mellon believes there advantages to playing a team from the same division as they play for a place in the first round proper of the FA Cup.
"We'll know them better than teams that aren't in our league. It takes away the threat of being giant killed," said the Scot.
"I only see positives in it. I'm really looking forward to the game. We've had some tight, tough games against Halifax. We've not played them here yet since I've been here. So I'm looking forward to the challenge. They're a good side, so it makes for a good old fashioned FA Cup tie."
There are reduced admission prices for the visit of Halifax Town (kick-off 3pm, Saturday), with adult tickets £15, concessions (over 65s and 18-21 year olds) £10, youth (14-17 year-olds) £5 and Under 13s (who must be accompanied by an adult) £1.
