Latics striker Joe Nuttall has joined National League rivals Altrincham on a season-long loan.
The 27-year-old has been in and out of the side since a long pursuit for his signature ended in December 2022.
But he has featured only twice under manager Micky Mellon, and not at all in the league since October.
Nuttall ended the season on loan at Cheltenham, where he seemed to settle and had an impact, scoring twice in 13 games.
A permanent move to the Robins looked likely before manager Darrell Clarke left to take charge of Barnsley.
Nuttall has now signed a season-long loan at Moss Lane.
The former Scunthorpe and Blackpool striker has made 36 appearances for Latics, scoring eight goals.
