Latics have released nine players after confirming their retained list following the conclusion of the 2022/23 National League campaign.
Jordan Clarke, Vani Da Silva, Zaine Francis-Angol, Joe Edwards, Oliver Kilner, Lois Maynard, Chris Porter, Jack Stobbs and Trey Turner will all be moving on this summer.
The club also confirmed that negotiations are ongoing with Devarn Green, Matt Hudson, Junior Luamba and Joe Yarney.
Meanwhile, Timmy Abraham, Ellis Chapman, Peter Clarke and Bassala Sambou have all returned to their respective parent clubs.
There will also be a further update on which Academy scholars have been offered professional terms “in due course”.
An official statement read: “We would like to place on record our thanks to all the players who have not been retained for their contribution whilst at Boundary Park and we wish them well in their future careers.”
Latics finished 12th in the National League, ending the campaign with a six-game unbeaten run culminating in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Bromley. Joe Nuttall’s opener was cancelled out by Jamie Vennings 11 minutes from time.
