Oldham Athletic have extended Sydie Peck's youth loan from Sheffield United by another month.
The 18-year-old has been involved in all eight of the National League games played since his arrival in November, making his debut in a 2-0 home defeat to Barnet.
Latics boss David Unsworth tipped Peck to be a future Premier League player when he initially signed the young midfielder.
And the teenager has grown into his role since arriving at Boundary Park from the Blades, who are chasing promotion from the Championship.
"Peck is a top talent and I think he'll be a Premier League footballer at some point in his career," said Unsworth after securing the initial loan deal.
"He's a central midfielder, all-action, gets forward, scores goals, loves a tackle. He's box to box, a top top talent and we're really fortunate to get him."
Peck has caught the eye with his performances for Latics in the space behind the main striker, helping to create a number of chances in recent games.
He assisted Ben Tollitt's superb strike against Boreham Wood in December.
