Latics are predicted to finish sixth in the National League next season, according to the bookies’ odds.
John Sheridan’s men are aiming to bounce back from last term’s relegation out of the Football League.
The club has already brought in Liam Hogan, Nathan Sheron, Chris Porter and Zaine Francis-Angol among others ahead of the upcoming campaign.
However, a significant number of players departed Boundary Park this summer including Davis Keillor-Dunn, Dylan Bahamboula and Carl Piergianni.
Latics are predicted to make the play-offs this season and are priced at 16/1 to win the league outright.
Wrexham are the current favourites to clinch the title, having lost out against eventual winners Grimsby Town in the play-offs last season.
The Welsh club, who are owned by Hollywood pair Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, have already brought in the likes of Elliott Lee and Jordan Tunnicliffe this summer.
Notts County and Chesterfield are also tipped to finish highly and are priced at 7/1 and 8/1 respectively.
Solihull Moors (10/1), Southend United (14/1) and Boreham Wood (20/1) are also predicted to make the play-offs before a ball has been kicked.
Meanwhile, Dagenham and Halifax Town are tipped to narrowly miss out on a place in the top seven at this stage.
Torquay United, Yeovil Town, Scunthorpe United, Bromley, York City, Woking and Barnet are all predicted to finish mid-table.
At the wrong end of the table, Gateshead, Eastleigh and Dorking are all expected to narrowly beat the drop.
That leaves Maidenhead United, Wealdstone, Altrincham and Aldershot Town as the four sides predicted to be relegated from the fifth tier of English football.
