A Failsworth man is one of several men to be arrested on suspicion of tragedy chanting at Anfield.
The police said the men were arrested at Liverpool v Manchester City on Sunday (December 1).
A 57-year-old man from Failsworth; a 53-year-old man from Manchester; a 52-year-old man from Denton; a 38-year-old man from Audenshaw; a 32-year-old man from Macclesfield and a 28-year-old man from Prestwich were released on bail. A 58-year-old man from Rochdale and a 47-year-old man from Rochdale were released for voluntary attendance.
Meanwhile Kian Holt, 19 of Medlar-with-Wesham, Lancashire, was charged with a public order offence under the Football Offence Act ahead of an appearance at magistrates court next month.
