A Lidl in Manchester is offering a hefty reward for the safe return of its Liam Gallagher blue plaque after the momento went 'missing' from its in-store 'Wonderwall'.
The supermarket's precious plaque which honours the Manchester legend and Oasis frontman has suddenly disappeared from its Newton Health store.
The plaque was installed earlier this year to celebrate his 'almost gig' at the venue.
LG said in a 'supersonic' social media response that he would "gig at Lidl" if the Co-op Live venue fell through when he was performing his Definitely Maybe tour.
As the Co-op Live gigs went ahead, Lidl's running as a plan B was scrapped, but the store celebrated the 'gig that almost was' with the plaque and an unveiling ceremony.
Since then, the blue plaque has become a tourist attraction with residents in Newton Health proud of their tribute to a local legend.
It even features in Manchester Taxi Tours itineraries.
The plaque is emblazoned with: "LIAM GALLAGHER, LEGEND 'ALMOST PLAYED HERE, JUNE 2024".

However, Lidl has no leads as to its whereabouts after discovering the plaque was missing and is now issuing a plea to the public for its safe return and has high hopes it will return home before Christmas.
Not one to "look back in anger", the retailer is embracing the season of generosity and offering a reward of £500 in Lidl vouchers for the plaque's safe return.
Although Lidl said the Manchester team can't "stop crying their heart out" over the missing memento, it won't be accepting any plaque tribute acts, confirming it will only grant the reward for those who recognise the "importance of being... honest" - and return the real deal.
It's also not the first time the Mancunian musician's path has crossed with the cult-classic supermarket, with the brand poking fun at the singer's Lidl-esque £400 Berghaus windbreaker last month, unveiling a billboard beneath the Berghaus mural featuring its very own '24p jackets'.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Liam's plaque is being encouraged to email dontlookplaqueinanger@lidlforever.com, with the reward granted to whoever reunites the keepsake safe and sound with its rightful home.
