For those seeking warmth this winter, Morocco offers Agadir and Tangier for £40 return per person, with December temperatures around 22C.
The Canary Islands are another option, with flights to Tenerife, Lanzarote, or Fuerteventura for about £50 return per person.
Barbados is also on offer for £390 return per person, with temperatures above 30C at this time of year.
For foodies, Bucharest is a cheap option for a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant for around £40.
Return flights from Manchester cost around £60.
Poland's Gdansk is another 'budget-friendly' destination for meals, with a meal for two costing under £40 and a pint comfortably under £3.
China offers direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai, with meals out costing between £5 and £10 per person.
For those looking for a quick getaway, Dublin offers the chance to fly out from Manchester at 7am, spend a day in the city, and be back by 11pm for a little over £30.

Athens also offers cheaper flights, accommodation, and dining in the winter months, a relief from the summer heat and crowds.
Rome, albeit cooler than Manchester, offers flights from the airport direct in December, with 'beautiful winter scenery and Christmas charm.'
