A man in his 20s was found dead at home in Oldham by his family after struggling with his mental health, an inquest has heard.
Raheem Abbas Yousaf was 26 years old when he was found dead at home on Greenacres Road, on Sunday, November 17.
At an inquest opening held yesterday (November 26) by Assistant Coroner Michael Salt, the court heard that the young man had been struggling with depression before his death.
The court was told that he had begun counselling sessions and had started taking anti-depressants.
Mr Yousaf was found dead by his aunt in the bathroom of his home and was later identified by his brother.
A police coroner's officer said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Yousaf, who had been working in a shop before he died.
Mr Salt said that with Mr Yousaf being a young man and the cause of his death being not natural, a full inquest is needed.
He listed the date for the inquest to be held at 10am on March 24, 2025.
