A grandmother was found dead in an alleyway by her partner after the pair had an argument, an inquest has heard.
Michelle Perry was found dead at the back of Charleston Street in the early hours of Saturday, November 16.
An inquest opening was held at Rochdale Coroner's Court today (November 26) in which the court was told Michelle had been living in a tent in Oldham with her partner John when they had an arguement.
A police coroner's officer said Michelle then left and began to walk in the direction of Estate Street.
She was then found dead in the alleyway by John, who called for help and witnesses called for an ambulance.
It was heard that paramedics arrived and delivered CPR to Michelle, but that she was pronounced dead at the scene and identified by her daughter, Courtney Nicholson, at 1.05am.
The circumstances of Michelle's death are not suspicious, the court heard.
Assistant Coroner Michael Salt listed the date for a full inquest to begin at 10am on April 1, 2025.
In a tribute to her mother, Courtney Nicholson said Michelle 'loved everyone' without judgement and that she had fallen on 'hard times' after the death of her partner Mark in 2022.
She said: "Her biggest moment of being proud was through her kids and her grandkids, everybody knew they were the most important thing to her.
"I know it's a weird thing to say, but in a way I'm happy for her as she had been struggling and now she's reunited with her partner Mark who died in 2022."
