Dozens are homes in Saddleworth are set to be hit by a power cut this week.
The planned power cut is being carried out by Electricity North West to ensure the safety of engineers working on the power supply.
The power cut will be carried out on Friday, November 29 and is expected to impact 59 properties.
It will not begin before 9am, and it will not continue after 5pm, Electricity North West has said.
On their power cut information page, the company said: "We appreciate your patience while our engineers carry out a planned power cut in your area, this is to improve the reliability of your electricity supply and so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide electricity to your home or business."
Electricity North West do not suggest having to use the food in your fridge and freezer and instead say that chilled and frozen food should last several hours if the door remains closed.
The full list of postcodes affected is: OL4 4HU, OL4 4JG, OL4 4JT, OL4 4HY, OL4 4EX, OL4 4HJ, OL4 4GH.
