A Netflix film which follows the story about how IVF and the world's first 'test tube baby' was born in Oldham has shot up the Netflix charts since it came out.
The miracle of how IVF was born has been featured in a star-studded Netflix film, called Joy, starring Bill Nighy, James Norton and Thomasin McKenzie.
The film goes back to 1978 and reveals how Oldham made medical history when the world's first 'test tube baby', Louise Joy Brown, was born on July 25 at the then Oldham General Hospital.

Joy shows perfecting in vitro fertilisation was a phenomenal task which involved extensive research and trials - and came with tough opposition from the press, the church, the medical association and people from across the world - even the scientists' own families.
Newspaper headlines even dubbed them Dr Frankenstein but the team persevered.
While the film is already in cinemas now, Joy came out on Netflix on Friday, November 22, and in the past few days has shot up the UK top 10 charts.
Joy is currently in the first position in the top 10 films in the UK today and can be watched on Netflix.
