Flood warnings are in place across areas of Oldham as heavy rain hit the region yesterday (Saturday, November 23), courtesy of Storm Bert.
An alert is in place for the upper River Irwell, with the catchment area also including the Rivers Irk and Medlock which run through Oldham.
A flood map shared by the Environment Agency shows parts of Shaw, Chadderton and Lees, as well as the area near Alexandra Park, are at risk of flooding.

These areas have been given a low risk alert, meaning flooding is possible.
People are encouraged to avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
Parts of Greater Manchester saw flooding yesterday, including in nearby Bury, where emergency vehicles were deployed to help residents deal with rising water levels.

While there may be some rain this morning, most of the day is set to be dry, which should help bring the risk of flooding to the region down.
Environment Agency has said it will update the alerts later in the day.
