A Christmas lights switch-on has been forced to scale back due to the weather conditions being brought by Storm Bert.
The event on Market Street in Shaw is still set to go ahead, but with much of the entertainment being moved indoors.
Due to the high winds expected, the stage, marquee and children's rides will not be erected due to safety concerns.
Instead, Playhouse 2 and the Shaw and Crompton branch of the Royal British Legion will host the day's activities.

The Christmas Lights Switch-On event, which is a free community event that is well attended every year, is organised by the Shaw and Crompton Events Committee, a group of volunteers based at Playhouse 2.
Starting at 2pm, Playhouse 2 will host live entertainment, a visit from Santa and his elves and then the lights switch-on at 5.30pm.
Meanwhile the Royal British Legion will host face painting, stalls, games and Santa's cafe.

Local councillor Howard Sykes said: “A lot of work, and fundraising, goes on throughout the year to pay for the event which signals the start of Christmas celebrations across Shaw and Crompton.
“It is therefore bitterly disappointing to see that the event has had to be moved inside and substantially scaled back due Storm Bert which has prevented structures being erected on Market Street and with only limited parts of the planned programme taking place in Playhouse 2 and the British Legion on Newtown Street.
“It would be remiss however not to recognise and thank this dedicated band of volunteers for their efforts over the year, and every year, and I have no doubt that the event will return next year in its usual format.”
