The sleet turned to snow yesterday evening as we all cosied up and prepared for a cold night ahead.
But waking up this morning to a winter wonderland outside our doors has got us all in the Christmas spirit.

Katrina's pooch posed next to a tree in a snowy field, with the white-covered hills in the distance.
We really like How this picture shows off the countryside in Oldham and it's always a bonus when there's a dog included.
Sometimes it's easy to forget what a stunning landscape we have on our doorstep, and pictures like this one remind us of that.
Patricia's image of the River Tame with a rather confusing sign for directions looks more like something out of a fantasy novel than our own borough.
The yellow weather warning meant that everyone had been well prepared for the icy day, and it seems to have worked, as we received no reports of disruption caused by snow around Oldham.
Thank you to all of our readers who sent in their images, and we're sorry we couldn't include all of them in as they were truly stunning.
