Fireworks have kept residents awake at night "for years" all across the borough, with many saying the problem is persistent and round-the-clock.
Despite the success of the council-organised fireworks display in Oldham town centre on Tuesday (November 5), fireworks are still causing an issue.

Another incident saw officers called to disorder on Vine Street in Gorton, where a large group of around 30 youths had reportedly ignited a fire on wasteland and were throwing fireworks and projectiles at houses and vehicles, resulting in disruption and property damage.
When police arrived, officers were targeted with fireworks as missiles, although no injuries were sustained.
Three males, aged between 16 and 18, were arrested.

The force also made 11 arrests across the region for a range of offences on Bonfire Night, including violent disorder to drugs and possession of a bladed article, and responded to 507 calls of anti-social behaviour, of which 203 were firework-related.
Now, officers have another update as on Thursday (November 7), four men were found on Block Lane, Chadderton, with a hefty number of fireworks.
Officers followed the group in an initial pursuit on foot before managing to seize £150 worth of fireworks from the group "before they could cause any nuisance".
