Halloween is almost upon us and we've crafted a list of some of the spooky events happening around Oldham so that you can pick the ones you want to head to.
Halloween party at The Horton Arms
The Horton Arms is hosting a Halloween party on Friday, November 1, with a costume competition, spooky canapes and cocktails as well as live music and a free punch on entry.
The event is free to attend and runs from 7pm to 12am, promising frightening fun all night long at the pub on Streetbridge, Chadderton.
Halloween Night at Royton Cricket Club
This adults-only event is for the grown ups to have their fun, with a live band and its own fancy dress competition.
It's £10 a ticket and doors open at 6pm for the event to start an hour later at 7pm on, giving you plenty of time to grab a drink before the fun begins at the cricket club on Barnsdale Avenue on Saturday, October 26.
Kids Halloween party at The Angel Inn Royton
It's the kids' time to shine now, at their dedicated Halloween shindig with prize winning games, a costume competition and goodie bags for just £5.
There's also a DJ for the little ones to get their groove on next Friday, November 1 from 6pm-8pm at the pub on Shaw Road.
Halloween Kidz Party, Angel Inn Lees
Across town and not to be confused with the aforementioned, Angel Inn in Lees is hosting their own get together for the young ones.
With entertainer Kelley D Barry heading to the venue to host fun games and prizes and the pub putting on a kids buffet, this one promises fun for the kids' Halloween fix.
Hosted 5pm-7pm on Wednesday, October 30, on Nicholson Street, it means you can still head out trick or treating on the big night itself.
Kaly's Playland Halloween party
On Friday, November 1, Kaly's Playland are turning the centre into spooky kids party central with face painting, food, raffles, games and their own costume competition.
Priced at £10 a ticket, which includes one adult and one child, it's a sure way to keep the Halloween spirit going for one extra night.
Lights out Halloween addition, Summit Up Climbing
For one night and one night only, Summit Up will be climbing into the Halloween festivities with spooky sessions of climbing in the dark.
They're encouraging costumes, but superheroes, witches and wizards will need to keep their capes at home, as there's no loose clothing permitted.
So strap up and book your place on their clip 'n' limb sessions or simply show up for their roped climbing and bouldering spots.
The clip 'n' climb runs at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm and the roped climbing and bouldering is from 6pm till late.
Halloween party and karaoke night, Lowerhouse Inn
What could be scarier than hearing you friends get up for karaoke? Maybe doing it yourself.
However, with a £150 cash up for grabs across six prizes for those that take part in the karaoke, you might just be tempted.
Everyone who sings will be given a raffle ticket each time, in hopes of winning one of six £25 cash prizes.
There's also a £25 bar tab in it for the best costume of the night, so if you're feeling lucky, head to the Lowerhouse Inn on Derker Street from 7pm on Friday, November 1 and make sure to stay for the draw at 11.30pm.
There's plenty more fun and fearful events happening around Oldham, but we can't fit every one in here, so if none of these events take your fancy then make sure to find the one that does.
