Another witness said she saw the motorbike rider was being supported by the aid of a passer-by who was "brilliant".

Greater Manchester Police told The Oldham Times there were "no serious injuries" from the crash.

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has also been contacted for comment.

Dozens of residents in Shaw have also called for lights at the junction in light of the crash.

A woman said it is a "terrible junction" that is prone to crashes.

Another agreed: "They need to put lights on that junction. It's always been a bad junction ever since I was little."
