No trams are set to run for a period this weekend due to "essential tech works", with passengers being warned of disruption.
Bee Network has said that on Sunday (October 20), no trams will operate on the Metrolink on any of the lines before 9am.
This is so works can be carried out to upgrade the tech systems across the full network.

Once the closure is lifted at 9am, Bee Network said it will take some time for services to resume to normal, with a full timetable set to operate from around 10.30am.
No bus replacement services will run while the closure is in place and tram tickets will not be accepted on commercial buses.

Along with this, works are set to be carried out on a stretch of the Oldham tram line, which will last for nearly two weeks.
Starting this Saturday (October 19) and running until Thursday, October 31, no trams will run between Rochdale Railway Station and Rochdale Town Centre while works are carried out.
Bee Network says bus replacement service will operate between the stops.
