A yellow warning of heavy rain and possible flooding has been put in place in Oldham for tonight (Tuesday, October 15) and tomorrow morning.
The Met Office issued a the warning, which will start at 6pm tonight and run until midday tomorrow.
It has been warned that spells of heavy rain will pose a risk of flooding and disruption to travel.

The forecasters say flooding and power cuts to a few homes and businesses is possible, while there is a chance of delays and cancellations to bus and train services.
Oldhamers can expect the following:

A slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

A small chance that some communities will be temporarily cut off by flooded roads

A small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services

Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
The heavy rain will push up towards Oldham and the North West from the South West today.
Many places will see around 10 to 20mm of rain, but there is a chance some places may see considerably more than this over a six-hour period, although this is most likely in parts of southwest England and south Wales.
The warning has been issued for parts of the North West, most of Wales, most of the Southwest and parts of the Midlands.
