A 21-year-old man has suffered "potentially life-threatening injuries" after he was struck by a tram in Shaw late last night, Friday.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) responded to reports that a member of the public had been struck by a tram yesterday on the tracks near Bullcote Lane just before 11.20pm.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Shortly before 11.20pm last night (Friday) we responded to reports of a collision between a tram and member of the public on the tram track near to Bullcote Lane, Oldham.
"The member of public, a 21-year-old man, has been taken to hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, where he remains."
Metrolink services have been disrupted following the incident.
The GMP spokesperson added: "Metrolink services continue to be impacted this morning while our serious collision investigation unit make further enquiries.
"We appreciate the patience of those who use the service."
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they attended the incident at around 11/30pm.
The Metrolink service remains suspended this morning as GMP officers investigate.
No services are operating between Rochdale Town Centre and Oldham Mumps.
A Bee Network spokesperson said: "We can confirm that following a police incident near Shaw and Crompton late on Friday night, there is currently no service between Rochdale Town centre and Oldham Mumps.
"Tickets and passes can be used on the 59, 57, 81, 83, 149, 182, 409, 411 bus services and Northern train services between Rochdale and Victoria.
"We will advise customers as soon as services are able to resume."
