With one of the top Asian cuisine awards having been announced over the weekend, here's the restaurants close to Oldham which were included as shortlisted nominees.
The Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) recognise the best eateries serving traditional Asian cuisine.
The awards are handed out regionally, with the top chefs being honoured at a ceremony, which was held on Sunday, October 6 this year at the Royal Lancaster in London.
Each region is narrowed down to a shortlist of just 10 restaurants or takeaways before the winner is selected.
While Oldham didn't have any restaurants shortlisted itself, the North West winner is only a 19-minute drive away along with others dotted close by.
Here are the restaurants deemed good enough to make the list, within a 30 minute drive from Oldham Town Centre, according to Google.
1. Imli Restaurant, Heywood
Let's start with the crowning restaurant, home to the winner of the ARTA North West regional chef of the year.
Imli is an authentic Indian restaurant serving up warming home cooked meals and is rated an overall 4.5 stars on Google from 77 reviews, it seems the spot is a hidden gem.
The restaurant serves food both to takeaway and to sit in their stylishly decorated restaurant area.
Located just a 19 minute drive away from the town centre of Oldham, it's one to add to the list.
2. The Milnrow Balti Restaurant, Milnrow
The closest shortlisted restaurant, with an 18 minute drive between you and Asian food fame, The Milnrow Balti could be your next favourite spot.
This restaurant earned its spot in the shortlist, with 4.4 stars on Google from 430 reviews, it's clearly a sure thing for a good meal.
Serving up culinary delights in the form of Indian meals and also providing a stylish experience with their interior taste.
3. Pandora, Littleborough
Last, but by no means least, Pandora Littleborough is the furthest away, with a 24 minute drive ahead from the town centre.
This final stop is rated the highest of the three, at 4.8 stars on Google from 355 reviews.
Pandora specialises in modern Indian food and artistic cocktails and promises to provide an 'unforgettable' experience no matter the occasion.
With it's seating area styled in blue and gold themes it too is giving customers that high-end experience.
