A woman has issued an appeal after her father died after being hit by a car in Rochdale.
The incident occurred at around 7.05pm on Grimshaw Lane, Rochdale on Sunday (September 29) when a Nissan Micra is believed to have collided with the man, who Greater Manchester Police said was in his 70s.
The man was crossing at a junction at the time of the incident.
According to GMP, he sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital but he died from his injuries a short time later.
The man's daughter, in an appeal on social media, said that the police are supporting her family at this 'horrendous' time.
GMP also issued an appeal for witnesses or any CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile footage of the incident.
They said that the driver of the car remained at the scene and no arrests have been made while enquiries are ongoing and the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is investigating.
