A home in Oldham has been badly burnt after a fire broke out in a bedroom early this morning.
At approximately 7.30am this morning (Monday, September 30), emergency services were called to reports of a house fire on Honeywell Lane in Hathershaw.
Firefighters from Oldham, Hollins, Chadderton and Ashton-under-Lyne tackled the blaze while the road was closed for pedestrians and cars.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed its crews were called to the fire which broke out from a bedroom on the first floor.
Photographs show plumes of smoke coming out of a window on the first floor.
Another image reveals the house has been badly damaged by the fire, with its windows seemingly burnt out.
There have been no injuries reported.
Pennine Pen Animal Rescue Centre, which sits adjacent to the property, also said it had fortunately been "unaffected" by the fire.
The charity added: "It was very close but luckily there is a good gap between us and the houses next door."
Another neighbour was reportedly woken to the sound of fire alarms and managed to get herself and her dogs out of the property in time.
Meanwhile, bus services were disrupted throughout the morning.
The Bee Network said buses were on a diversion route from Honeywell Lane and Keswick Avenue while emergency services attended to the incident.
The fire service said: "At around 7:30am this morning (Monday 30 September), firefighters were called to reports of a house fire on Honeywell Lane in Oldham.
“Fire engines from Oldham, Hollins, Chadderton and Ashton-under-Lyne fire stations quickly arrived at the scene, which involved a fire in the bedroom on the first floor.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels and covering jets to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
"Crews remain on the scene."
The North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for comment.
