Shocking footage shows the aftermath of a horrific car crash on one of Oldham's "hotspot crash roads".

Over the weekend, video footage shared on social media shows two cars had crashed on Featherstall Road South, near the mini roundabout of Arkwright Street and West Street.

Both cars sustained heavy damage to the front bonnet and wheels.

Debris lay in the road around a large silver 4x4 vehicle while its entire front, including its lights, registration plate and bumper, were missing or mangled into the car from the impact.

Another black car, which appears unrecognisable due to the damage, was also damaged along its front and passenger side.

The footage shows airbags had been deployed while the passenger seat had been "twisted".

Both cars were found in the middle of the road and facing the same way.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to the incident at the time and cordoned off the area.

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed three patients were taken to hospital after the crash but there were "no serious injuries".

The news comes as residents claim there are "always crashes" on that road and have accused the area of being like "Wacky Races".
