A man has been charged in connection with several burglaries in the Royton area in recent weeks.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) shared on their social media pages that Shane Mills, of Travis Court, Royton, has been charged with four offences.

The charge comes following an investigation into several burglaries of properties in Royton during this month and August.

The 31-year-old has been charged with two counts of burglary in a dwelling with intent to steal and two counts of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.

GMP said Mills has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Friday, November 1.
