Drivers in and around Oldham will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for over the next two weeks.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is already in place and expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 8pm September 9 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions New Moston to Holden Fold - lane closure for electrical works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 8pm September 30 to 6am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22, slip road closure for construction improvement, diversion via local authority and national highways networks.

• M62, from 8pm October 1 to 6am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22, Lane closure for structure maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J20 to J23 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• A627(M), from 8pm October 4 to 6am October 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, one to 4 - Lane closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

• M60, from 9pm October 7 to 5am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 to junction 21 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
