Police were called to Oldham town centre this morning (September 17) due to concerns surrounding a "suspicious package" at a business.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed they attended a scene on Union Street following the reports.
However, the incident was confirmed to have been a false alarm.

A spokesperson for GMP said in a statement: "This morning (Tuesday 17 September) officers were called to reports of a suspicious package located in a business on Union Street in Oldham.
"Thankfully, this was a false alarm and the incident has been stood down."
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident and were on standby to assist GMP, however no fire engines were called as the incident was stood down.
