Oldham's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network over the next two weeks.

Three of the closures are expected to cause moderate delays, with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A627(M), from 8pm September 9 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions New Moston to Holden Fold - lane closure for electrical works.

• A663, from 5am to 11am on September 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Foxdenton Lane to Lydia Becker Way lane closure due to utility asset works.

• A663, from 8.30pm September 15 to 5am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 9pm September 16 to 5am September 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 23 to junction 21 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8.30pm September 17 to 6am September 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 21 to junction 23 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• A663, from 9.30am September 19 to 3.30pm September 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, Hollinwood Avenue to New Moston lane closure due to Statutory infrastructure works.

• A663, from 8pm September 23 to 5am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Jardine Way to junction Of Eaves Lane - lane closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
