Oldham drivers have been warned that a key road in the borough will be closed for 11 nights, starting next week.
The council has said that Oldham Way A627 will be closed in both directions from Monday (September 9) to Friday, September 20.
The closures will begin at 8pm before the road reopens at 5am.
The council has said that the closures are taking place to allow for drainage work on Waterloo Street Bridge to be carried out, along with remedial work that needs to be completed.
Along with this, EON street lighting will be using the closures to complete essential maintenance which will look to minimise further disruption in the future.
⚠️ Oldham Way will be closed in both directions for 11 nights from 9–20 Sept, 8pm–5am, for drainage work on Waterloo St Bridge and essential EON streetlight maintenance.

Oldham Way will be closed between the Manchester Road roundabout and the road's junction with Prince Street.
Diverted routes will be signposted for drivers, which will take drivers through the town centre.
Works have been taking place on Oldham Way for the past year and a half, including maintenance work on bridges at Waterloo Street and Wellington Street.
