Volunteers at Stoneleigh Park in Oldham fed 800 children over five weeks this summer while providing fun activities.
The scheme was backed by Friends of Stoneleigh Park along with councillors Josh Charters and Angela Cosgrove, partially funded by the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and additional funding from Friends of Stoneleigh Park.
This dual funding aimed to encourage participation in activities and provide nutritious meals for children on free school meals.
Exciting activities included sports, crafting, a bike track, face painting, a climbing wall, bouncy castles, stalls and support from various organisations.
Cllr Charters, a supporter of the initiative, said: "It’s astounding to see the work that the volunteers put in to make this park the hub for the community in Derker, and bringing services together alongside activities for children means that there is something for everyone in the community."
Cllr Cosgrove added: "The demand for this sort of program has only increased over the last few years, we've seen families from across Oldham visit us at the park and we’ve been able to help them take some time to have fun and get support."
