Oldham Mountain Rescue Team thanked two organisations after they raised more than £600 with a rural-themed event outside Delph and Dobcross.

Albion Farm, on Oldham Road, raised the significant sum last weekend with a Sheep Shearing and Tractor Run event alongside Saddleworth Tractors.

Oldham Mountain Rescue Team is one of more than 40 Mountain Rescue Teams in England and Wales and, last year, it took on incidents involving more than 40 casualties across almost 1,000 man-hours.

It thanked the two organisations for their support following the fundraiser.
