Uppermill businesses will be looking a little different in a few weeks, with them being asked to dress their windows up for a charitable cause.
The Chadderton and Oldham Cancer Research committee is in charge of the campaign which will see the businesses turn pink.
Over two weeks, from September 23 to October 6, the Turn the Town Pink campaign will raise money and awareness around cancer and the research being done to tackle it.
Susan Ferreira, 62, who works on the committee, said: "All the shops will have a poster with a QR code as well as a collection box and they'll all decorate their windows in pink, however they can
"We're frantically making bunting for them at the minute to try to help them out.
"But they can use anything, balloons, bunting- there was an underwear shop in another town that had big knickers and bras!"
At the end of the two weeks, Saddleworth councillor, Barbara Beeley, will judge the displays with the best one winning a hamper filled with goodies to share with their staff.
Susan said: "It is really to raise awareness and we just thought this would be a great idea."
Uppermill was chosen as the site for the campaign due to its picturesque nature and the variety of businesses close together.
The Chadderton and Oldham Cancer Research Committee was formed in 1969 with around £800,000 raised since then.
Susan joined the committee due to both of her parents being members and wanting to help out herself.
The campaign will be officially opened with a banjo band at the Uppermill Conservative Club, where the committee will be in attendance dressed head-to-toe in pink with feather boas and cowboy hats.
Susan also said the committee are keen to recruit newer members with 'fresh ideas' for campaigns like this one.
A few businesses outside of Uppermill have also signed up to the dress up and will be showing their support in pretty pink style.
