Firefighters were tackling a blaze last night in Oldham town centre after a fire broke out in a commercial property.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service confirmed they responded to reports of a fire in the business last night.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Shortly after 8.15pm on Tuesday 27 August, three fire engines from Oldham, Hollins and Chadderton fire stations were called to attend a commercial building fire on Union Street, Oldham.
"Crews arrived quickly and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
"Firefighters made the area safe before departing after approximately one hour at the scene."
The Oldham Times is currently working to verify which business the fire occurred at.
Images from the scene show a number of firefighters as well as the three engines attending to the rear of the building, on Silver Street.
