Tesco added that members of staff will always be present to help customers with the payment process should they need assistance.
The change is only being made at the Tesco cafe on Huddersfield Road, while Tesco cafes at stores on Featherstall Road North in Chadderton and on Ashton Road in Failsworth will still accept cash.
