In recent weeks, a number of pubs in and around Oldham have reopened under new management or ownership.
While many pubs in today's world seem to shutting down for good, these pubs have had new leases of life injected into them for the benefit of Oldham's punters.
Here are three pubs to have recently reopened under new owners or landlords in the last few weeks
The Black Ladd
Back in March, The Black Ladd closed down after the owners at the time cited financial issues.
However, the pub on Buckstones Road in Shaw was only closed for a few weeks before new owner Amy Barnie as she felt the pub needed to be saved.
Amy said: "I saw that The Black Ladd had closed and I thought, 'That's such a shame'- you can't just close a pub like that forever, it can't be lost.
"So I thought, well I have a couple of other pubs anyway and I have the experience so shall we just have a go and re-open it?"
The pub has since undergone a refurbishment and is once again open to Oldhamers.
The Three Crowns
A pub and restaurant in Oldham officially reopened its doors under new ownership this month.
The Three Crowns Pub and restaurant on Huddersfield Road, Scouthead, was temporarily closed for a few weeks to make way for a makeover and a welcome change of hands.
The pub has been taken over by couple Stacey Lightfoot and Mick Wilkin, who have ran the Spinners Arms pub in Springhead for eight years.
The pair said they were "delighted" to be taking on another venture, which officially reopened on Friday, August 16.
The New Moston Inn
Whilst not technically in Oldham, The New Moston Inn on Belgrave Road is so close to the borough that it is enjoyed by many of the borough's residents.
The New Moston Inn came under new management on July 1 and in a short space of time, is already proving a hit with residents far and wide.
That is thanks to new landlord Connor Hancox, who at just 23 has moved to the area from the south, and in a short space of time, he has has dramatically transformed the premises into a "proper community pub".
This is thanks to a new 75-inch television for sports, a jukebox, great deals and a great selection of drinks.
Connor also told The Oldham Times: "It's taken a lot for me to move up from the south, but I can honestly every second has been worth it.
"I'd just love everybody to know that it's once again a great local pub, and I'm working tirelessly to bring it back to its former glory."
