All emergency services attended the scene after a two-car crash in the early hours of today.

The incident was outside Moor Haven Care Home on Ripponden Road at around 12.30am.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said all emergency services attended the scene after the two-car crash including police and paramedics.

They said two people were checked for injuries and Ripponden Road was cleared of debris.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Just after 12.30am on Saturday fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Ripponden Road. One fire engine was mobilised to the incident which involved two cars. 

"Two people were checked by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service (NWAS). Firefighters helped to make the area safe before handing the scene over to Greater Manchester Police (GMP). Firefighters were in attendance for about half an hour."

The Oldham Times asked NWAS and GMP for a comment.
