Spirits were high for Oasis Academy Oldham students as they picked up their GCSE results and 'reaped the rewards' of their hard work.
A large number of students achieved superb individual results with Kayleigh, Odianosen, Parul, and Alex achieving a staggering twenty-four grade 9s between them.
Cheryl, meanwhile, joined Oasis Academy Oldham at the beginning of Year 10 and worked tirelessly to ensure she achieved a great set of results, including three grade 9s in English literature, English language and history.
She said: “I am so happy with my results! I worked hard with lots of help from my teachers and I’m still in awe and shocked.”
Gemma Blackwood, acting co-principal at Oasis Academy Oldham, said: “We are thrilled for our young people who have worked so hard for these results.
"At Oasis Academy Oldham we are passionate about giving our students the opportunities that they need to make great progress and flourish, and this year more of our students than ever are leaving us with the qualifications they need to take the next step towards a fulfilling career.”
“I want to also thank all of the amazing staff here at the Academy. Our students know that great results come with hard work, but also with the support of great teachers.”
Sam Collins, acting co-principal at Oasis Academy Oldham, added: “We are thrilled for all of our students on their results today – so many have worked hard and reaped the rewards. We wish them all the best on their next steps.”
