The Oldham Times and other newspapers in the North West are set to celebrate chefs and regional eateries with the launch of a new regular feature.
'Meet the Chef' will see regional professional cooks and their associated businesses celebrated across Newsquest Media Group titles in the region.
Those featured can expect to see themselves featured online and in print in five titles across Greater Manchester and Lancashire; The Oldham Times, Bury Times, The Bolton News, The Messenger and Lancashire Telegraph - both online and in print.
The chefs, restaurants, pubs, hotels etcetera will be featured in titles across the region - not just the one closest to them - because we know people will travel all over to try out new places to eat.
Richard Duggan, Regional Editor North West, said: "We know that it's not been the easiest of times for the hospitality sector in recent years and we want to shout about the talented professionals and fabulous dining locations we have in the region.
"The idea behind the 'Meet the Chef' series is to encourage readers to celebrate eateries not just from their area, but from across the region as a whole.
"Mix things up and go a little bit further afield one evening if you can, as well as trying out that new place down the road."
