A pub in Shaw has been temporarily closed after reports of concern over a child which resulted in a woman being arrested.
At 10.44pm on Thursday, August 15, Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to an address on Rochdale Road following reports of "concern for the welfare of a child".
Officers then arrested a woman in her 20s on suspicion of assault.

The Pineapple Inn pub on Rochdale Road announced the following day (Friday, August 16) that the alehouse had closed for the duration of the weekend due to "unforeseen circumstances".

The brief statement said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be closed this weekend and back open on Monday.
"Sorry for any inconvenience caused!"
Admiral Taverns and The Pineapple Inn have been contacted for comment about the incident.
