An event hosted by the friends of a man who was assaulted in Oldham after the Euros final saw hundreds show up to raise funds.
Ray Logan was injured outside an Oldham bar after watching the July 14 Euros final, at around 4am on Yorkshire Street.
He was left in a medically induced coma after needing two emergency surgeries to treat the significant head injuries he sustained.
However, the father of four has now woken up and has spoken to his family, telling them he loves them and that he appreciated the community support received.
Friends of Mr Logan hosted an event over the weekend to raise funds for his family as with Mr Logan being self-employed and his wife having recently started a new job, they were facing financial struggle.
The event, hosted at St Anne's Rugby Club on Saturday (August 10), saw hundreds attend and take part in the day's fun filled activities.
Attendees enjoyed the summer sun with children's funfair rides, a bouncy castle, an ice cream van, food vendors and an outdoor bar.
Inside the clubhouse was bustling with people enjoying live entertainment including dance performances and singing as well as a raffle and auction later on in the evening.
Some of the top prizes in the raffle and auction included sports memorabilia signed by the likes of Paul Gascoigne and Kevin Sinfield, a Play Station five, and a champagne dinner at The Ivy.
On why he'd worked so hard to organise the event, Dale Lowe, said: "He's [Mr Logan] my best friend, and I come from a rugby background where we look after our own.
"Plus, he'd do this for me if it was the other way around and so if we can help then that's great."
On the day, Mr Lowe was also selling printed T-shirts reading 'Team Ray- stronger together'.
All funds raised on the day will be combined with those raised as part of a GoFundMe for the family, and with over £15,000 raised at the time of writing added to the just under £20,000 raised from the event, the family will receive around £35,000 to help them.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with assault in connection with the incident.
