Oldham Metrolink will be affected by disruption due to works taking place this weekend.

Passengers hoping to travel on the line on Sunday (August 11) will need to plan in advance with yet more disruption affecting the service.

From the start of service until 10am, no trams will operate into Victoria alongside the works between Shudehill and Market Street.

The Rochdale and Bury line will terminate at Victoria until 10am. This is to allow the works on a pedestrian walkway between Corporation Street and Victoria.

In addition, due to land movement affecting the track, no trams are operating between Derker and Shaw and Crompton.

A bus replacement service will operate between the affected stops.

The work is alongside wider works occurring between the Shudehill and Market Street stops, meaning no trams will operate between there either.

Two separate bus replacements will be in effect on the day, with one operating between Piccadilly and Victoria calling at Piccadilly Gardens and Shudehill.

The other will serve Oldham Mumps to Rochdale Town Centre, calling at Derker, Shaw and Crompton, Newhey, Milnrow, Kingsway Business Park, Newbold and Rochdale Railways Station.
