A new nursery could open at a former church after plans were submitted.

Planning documents show that Tiddlywinks Nursery Group is in the process of buying Salem Moravian Church on Lees Road.

The site operated as the Laugh N Learn nursery for a period, opening in 2011.

Before that, the site served as a church.

The applicants have submitted a certificate of lawful use application, looking to keep the site operating as a nursery.

According to a planning document prepared by Martin Planning Ltd on behalf of Tiddlywinks, the nursery group was founded in 1994 and runs several nurseries across North Manchester which provide daily care for more than 700 children in total.

Pictures from planning documents show the building, which is largely made up of wooden floors with furniture including chairs and desks.
