A popular bar and pizza restaurant in Royton is celebrating the launch of its new outside space and beer garden which nods to some local history.
The Barclay Pizza and Prosecco restaurant on Rochdale Road, which sits in the old Barclays bank, has been busy transforming a wasteland garden patch into a stunning new seating area for its customers.
Bosses at the bar said "blood, sweat and tears" have gone into the makeover, which includes multi-level paving, wood panelling and a shipping container that has been painted black and transformed into an outdoor bar.

There is plush seating as well as high bar tables and benches, plus plants and atmospheric lighting.
The site is also said to have once been affected by a runaway diesel train that smashed through station buffers and into the three houses that stood there in February 1961.
Nobody was killed or seriously injured in the accident, and The Barclay's new garden commemorates this interesting piece of local history with plaques on its tabletops about the event.
The leaflets inform customers that the incident happened "where you are sat".
The Barclay said that it "always keep the past very much in our designs when we take anything on", referring to the restoration of the building from its former use as a bank.
Celebrating its opening day on Friday (July 26), The Barclay had a jukebox DJ on the decking while video footage showed dozens of residents enjoying the new space.
The bar and restaurant has revealed the new space will allow it to host live music outdoors every Saturday and a raft of weekend entertainment.
The Barclay has been contacted for comment.
