Four people were taken to hospital after a crash in which the car caught fire on a Saddleworth road yesterday evening.
The incident took place on Delph New Road between Dobcross and Delph with emergency services called at approximately 7pm on Wednesday (July 24).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “One fire engine from Oldham Fire Station and the Technical Rescue Unit from Ashton Fire Station quickly arrived at the scene, which involved one car that had crashed and caught fire.
“Four males had self-rescued from the vehicle prior to the arrival of the fire crews. One male received treatment at the scene from GMFRS trauma technicians and the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
“Colleagues at Greater Manchester Police closed the road while fire crews worked to extinguish the fire."
The fire service confirmed all four were taken to hospital and that crews remained on scene for around two hours.
