Arrests have been made after a group of teenagers were reportedly seen driving around Failsworth, carrying large knives and causing 'violent disorder' over the weekend.

At approximately 8pm on Sunday (July 21), police were called to reports of an 'altercation' on Alder Road in Failsworth between two groups of youths.

Disturbing video footage on social media appears to show a group arrived on the scene in a red car by the Green Store grocery shop and off licence.

At least four youths exited the car and ran towards the narrow alleyway and footpath at the side of the shop, some carrying a large knife in their hands.

Moments later, the footage shows the four reemerged from the passage and got back in the car which drove away down Alder Road.

Another youngster could be seen running away from the area.

Officers attended the scene but found that the groups had dispersed.
